Loss. Generally something no one wants to talk about. Especially when it’s a child. Miscarriage. Stillbirth. Infant loss. All of these are hard to talk about.
That’s why I’m supporting a new movie coming soon. Have you heard of Return to Zero? It stars Minnie Driver, Paul Adelstein (Private Practice), and several other great actors. It’s about stillbirth – the first movie of its kind. Even though I didn’t experience stillbirth (Carter died at 49 days old), 26,000 people a year do. Those numbers do not include miscarriage or infant loss – it’s tragic.
Right now, the movie is trying to make some noise in Hollywood. That’s where we can help. The more people who pledge to see the movie in theaters on opening weekend (TBD), the more likely it will get noticed by Hollywood – where it can make a real impact and break the silence of the loss of a child.
Will you join me in making this pledge? All you have to do is fill out the form, and put my name as your local leader. That’s it.
Let’s tell the world we want topics like this to be heard so that more awareness can come to things like stillbirth and the grief of parents who endure it.
Please share this post and help get the word out about this campaign. And, please let me know in the comments below if you signed the pledge – maybe we can all go together!
